Saturday, April 21st, 1- 3pm.

We would love to host more library events! What would you like to see at your library, this year?

Are you an author that would like to give a talk? Is there an author you'd like us to invite for a talk?

Do you have a hobby or craft that you enjoy sharing with others? Would you like to lead a workshop to teach others?

Do you have knowledge or expertise about birding or nature? Would you give a workshop or seminar?

Send us a message!

More Events, Please!

Many thanks to Gary Schoen for the design and construction of this wonderful float, which made its debut in this year's Irish Days parade. Librarian Kris walked alongside the trailer, accompanied by two young patrons, and the float attracted a lot of attention from the crowd, with many positive comments about how great it looks! We look forward to using it for future events.

The Murphys Volunteer Library serves our community with literature,

audio books, DVDs, free wifi, meeting space, and dynamic programming.

Join Bonnie Cassel, California Naturalist and National Park Interpretive Ranger, on Saturday, April 14th, at 2pm in the upstairs meeting room for her presentation, "Back From the Brink of Extinction: Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep Restored to Yosemite Ancestral Home."

This heartwarming story of scientists and citizens working together to bring the Bighorn Sheep back to Yosemite wilderness, after being absent 100 years, has a happy ending!

This event is FREE, but please contact the branch to reserve your seat - 728-3036.

March is Merchant Appreciation Month, and Murphys Volunteer Library would like to thank Sierra Hills Market and SaveMart for their participation in the eScrip fundraising program.

In 2017, MVL received more than $1000 in contributions through eScrip. These funds help to support library purchases of supplies and equipment to serve our patrons. Thank you, too, to all of our eScrip subscribers for shopping with these merchants.

If you haven't yet signed up with eScrip, ask your librarian or click on 'Your Contribution' from the top menu to learn more about how the program works, and other ways to support your library.

All ages welcome for this children's event, sponsored by First 5 Calaveras. Come enjoy games, activities, arts & crafts, face painting, food, FUN, and prizes!
